Vain WorshipLet's start with the inner essence of worship and then work out to the more public expressions of worship services or daily acts of love, which Paul calls our "spiritual worship" (Romans 12:1). The reason I make the distinction between the inner essence of worship and the external expression of it is because I think Jesus did in Matthew 15:8-9: "This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me."

Students of Jubilee College of Music (JCM) at Olivet University Riverside campus attended Casting Crowns' Only Jesus Tour concert at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA. The open-air concert theatre was filled with thousands of people for the event and gave the music students a higher level of worship experience with fresh live music. Worship leaders Cody Carnes, Kari Jobe, and Tauren Wells also performed at the event.

Jubilee College of Music made a system chart for violin performance classes responding to the increased interest in violin study at Olivet University Riverside campus. JCM has been offering violin performance classes in Riverside campus since Spring 2018 as an "Applied Music" program.

Jubilee College of Music (JCM) students attended the 17th anniversary of Jubilee World. The Anniversary was held in the Grand Orpheum Theatre in St. Louis, MO on July 10th, 2019. The anniversary was held for three days which included various events such as Grand Orpheum Theatre dedication service, anniversary service, concerts, performances, and conferences. Jubilee World music ministers from all over the world participated in the event.

Jubilee World 17th Anniversary/General Assembly commenced with the opening service. Jubilee members from various regions, including students of the Jubilee College of Music and Olivet Teens, filled the sanctuary, eager to receive the grace of God.

Master of Arts (MA) student Dawn Li from the Jubilee College of Music (JCM) in Riverside main campus presented her graduation concert last week. The program requires all graduate students to take the Master's Project course that concludes with a student concert.

The first day of June, Jubilee World Headquarters welcomed four YouthWorks staff members to its partnership. Jubilee World had collaborated with YouthWorks pleasantly in a few years prior, where groups of teenagers volunteered time and effort to beautify the Jubilee World campus.

Jubilee College of Music (JCM) in Riverside main campus hosted its annual student recital for their music students. The 2019 concert concluded successfully over the weekend testifying the growth of the JCM performers.

Jubilee College of Music (JCM) students at Olivet University (OU) attended Chris Tomlin’s Holy Roar concert held at San Diego State University last weekend. The Grammy-winning music artist Chris Tomlin authored many well-known worship songs such as Here I am to Worship, Amazing Grace (My chains are gone), Good Good Father and Build My Life. Christian artists Tauren Wells and Pat Barrett were also guest performers at the concert.

Jubilee Chamber team started the gathering from February. By they start the fellowship with studying the Bible, and prayer, they try to put faith before the music. The sharing time after the Bible study led the new member to open her heart to share her difficulties, so they could have a very graceful time.

The Contemporary Praise and Worship Songs course is a master-level seminar that teaches new Christian songs to Jubilee College of Music (JCM) students. JCM’s new course utilizes software such as MuseScore to practice transcribing music. The open-source software allows students to create quality scores with a mixer and playback the audio in producing various kinds of prints.

Jubilee Worship Australia held a worship concert in a local community hall in early January. It was hosted by a non-Christian group to celebrate the new year with music concerts. Several musicians and teams were invited, and Jubilee Worship was the only Christian band.
